Read this review before judging the three stars. It's probably five stars if your needs are different from ours. This is a beautiful family campground. There are tons of things for kids to do and probably relaxing for parents as most seemed to let their kids run amok. We are a retired couple looking for a place to stay close to family and this seemed ideal. The setting is beautiful. We've stayed at family campgrounds before and we enjoy watching the kids run around and play. This one is a little different. I rarely saw any kids being supervised. Even the small ones were riding their bikes and running all over the roads. And apparently no one has taught them to move for cars. We had to go around them in the grass more than once. It says in the "rules" that teens are supposed to be at their campsite at dusk but there were roaming bands of teenagers well after 1am, yelling and throwing stuff. No one enforces any of the rules. Having said all that, if you want a place where your kids can roam free, this is a nice place for you. It's definitely not for a couple of retirees looking for a place to relax.

I have lived in Allegan most of my life. Then moved to Fl. Came up with our Rv and stayed at triponds. We had a wonderful experience and would choose triponds over and over. We had the best internet. And friends and guests also got to experience the wonderful things they have for the children. It is a park come true. Fell in love ! Sorry we had to leave.

We have been staying here every year for the past 16 years. What once was a nice, clean and quiet campground has turned into a greedy, dirty and noisy campground. They charge you for everything. This year we were met with parking passes and if you're caught without one it is a $200 fine. There is trash everywhere, little kids without any type of supervision. At the pond there were four kids about the age of five without a parent in sight.

Also, they charged us $89 to change sites with two month notice. I get charging a small fee if you cancel altogether but you shouldn't charge someone that absurd amount of money to make a change.

There are zero rules being followed with no employees enforcing any of the rules. Every employee I saw was a young teenager.

Triponds has seen us for the last time along with my sister's and their families and anyone else I talk with. I used to brag about Triponds but can no longer do that.

Goodbye Triponds.

A lot to do and nice layout. The activities were fun, most cost extra. The mini golf is beautiful! The cafe food and ice cream are delicious! Convenient they do online ordering and text updates. The store has anything you’d need. They deliver wood to your site ($15). The jumping pillow was ok, bummed we had to pay ($7+). My daughter was only able to jump once. Older kids dumped water on it and were running and sliding, making it dangerous for the littles. The specified “toddler hour” was not monitored still had big kids. The sitting area inside for ice cream and board games was dirty the whole weekend. The same dirty cups and napkins were there for days. Empty napkin containers, sticky tables, board games missing pieces. It was our first visit. We were given a folder with a page of events. Turns out we were given the wrong events page. The first two days we were trying to find our way around and make it to the listed events. We thought we were at the wrong location or missed it. After the 3rd missed event we asked the staff and found out we had the wrong sheet. Kind of a bummer because we made our schedule to fit the events and felt like we were chasing our tails. (The sheet we had listed “Christmas in July” with a visit from Santa and a sleigh ride my kids were really excited about). I wish they had pull thru sites for longer RVs, the narrow roads make it difficult to back in. Overall, it is a great campground. Huge area. A lot to do. We recommend and plan to go again.
