We loved the location and feel of this campground since it’s on the river loaded with trees and had a festive celebratory (think rock and roll) atmosphere. Our first stay our RV site was ON the river. I loved it! It was great to just sit in the camping chair with a drink and watch the boats and jet skis go by. There’s also a small waterfall there which is pretty. It was a great campground to walk the dog and myself and had a few hills which I appreciated. The pool was nice and always had kids playing and more of an adult crowd at night. So, I have to mention that all the roads surrounding the campground had lots of pot holes and were not nice to drive on. Unfortunately, the laundry room experience wasn’t the best. It only had 2 working washers and 1 working dryer. In the restroom, 1 of the showers was missing a lock, the shower water pressure was good, but was kind of dark and could use updates and cleaning. We visited Warren Dunes State Park and the St. Joseph North Pier Inner Light. Overall, we loved the location.

RV park on the river with boat ramp, waterfall, pool and big clubhouse. There is a lot of open space and a short walking trail to the waterfall. Our spot was full hookups pretty big, dirt/grass driveway with not too much shade. Verizon service was ok t mobile very weak. There are spots on the river that are much smaller with no sewer conditions. The lady in the office is very nice and helpful. Roads in the park are dirt and there is one spot with tree branch very low -11 feet. The road leading to the park is narrow.

Revised. This Lake front campground was a campground worthy of visiting back in its heyday. The falls access is blocked off and looks like it suffered storm damage. Thousand trails PLEASE step up $$ and restore this historic campground back to its original glory!! The showers down below are in horrible condition. Camp, shower, and laundry on upper level. NO cell - NO free internet. No activities. Clubhouse was closed.

We stayed in cabin 166. We paid a little extra to have our dog but that’s the only dog friendly cabin. It was nice. There is a nice screened in porch in front and a fire ring out back. There’s a pullout couch that we didn’t use, a bedroom with bunk beds (I think full on bottom and twin on top) and a master bedroom. No linens but basically everything else was provided.
There ended up only being 3 of us and a dog and only 1 person got to take a short shower then the other two of us got only cold water. Also, the racetrack is only about a mile away so we heard the loudspeaker and revving engines starting at 8am both Saturday and Sunday (those were the only days we were there). We were already up so it wasn’t too bad but it was kind of annoying and very well heard by the entire campground. We would still return though. We didn’t get a chance to use the pool but I saw it and it was nice. The cave was not very extensive at all but the kids still liked it. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
