Woodchip Campground

So happy to find this sweet spot! We needed a location close to Grand Rapids while visiting grandkids. What a find! Well run campground. FHU sites with 30 and 50 amp. Pool, bounce pillow, playground and kids programs. Ticked all the boxes. Had the grandkids at the campground for a full day and they had a blast. We will definitely be back!

We had a beautiful time at Wood-chip Campground, we stayed in A-02 from June 23, 2026 thru June 26, 2026. Everyone in the office was really nice. Other than the little red bugs that swarmed us, we had a very nice time. We can not blame the bugs on you, only nature. We will be back next year. Thanks for everything.

We were there on a Monday, so it was quiet. Our site was right by the pool, which was very clean and was well-maintained. The entire campground was very clean. The check-in lady was friendly. This campground is within 5 miles of a large U of M Surgical Center which would make it very convenient for someone who needed to stay overnight but didn't want a hotel. It is also very close to downtown for events at Van Andel and Acrisure Amphitheater. We will stay here again.

Very nice campground. Clean bathrooms, nice pool, friendly staff. We had a nice shaded site and enjoyed seeing the deer behind us. Close to the city if you want to go in and not far from other attractions. But hanging out at camp is fine too. Kid friendly activities scheduled regularly.

Our family enjoyed our stay at Woodchip. We were there Friday through Monday. There were lots of activities for the kids on Saturday and the other days we enjoyed the pool, playground and jump pad. The dog park was spacious. The campground isn't huge and is very walkable. Our site was the perfect location - across from the pool and the playground. The grounds, bathrooms and pool were clean. Staff was friendly.
