A Nightmare Year: From Total Infrastructure Failure to Active Fraud Investigations

Calling this location an "RV Resort" is a complete distortion of reality. In reality, it functions as an outdated, poorly managed campground hiding behind resort prices, and my experience living here over the past year has been an absolute nightmare. What should have been a peaceful place to park and live has instead devolved into a chaotic situation shaped by erratic, confrontational, and deeply unstable leadership.

The decay starts with the very basic infrastructure you pay a premium for. They imposed a steep $145 monthly charge for electricity after the start of the season, yet the grid completely falters during peak weekends. The power system is so deteriorated and hazardous that during Fourth of July, our camper’s electrical safeguards had to shut down our power nearly 50 times just to protect our appliances from frying. This is the same day they insisted we pay the $290 in electric they were charging or they’d call the police. When you leave the camper, the basic amenities offer no relief; the bathhouse is consistently repulsive, unattended, and frequently left without even basic toilet paper.

But the failing utilities pale in comparison to the utter hostility of the management team. To illustrate just how unstable the environment is, the park has cycled through four different managers in a single year. The latest regional manager has escalated things from mere incompetence to outright intimidation. She routinely attempts to alter signed agreements retroactively, and the moment a resident declines to pay her arbitrary, uncontracted fee increases, she serves you a 24 hour notice to vacate and calls the police.

Things finally reached a breaking point when management began forging signatures on paperwork to trick law enforcement into executing illegal evictions. Active fraud investigations are now underway because of their actions. When the responding officers saw through the paperwork, clarified it was a civil jurisdiction matter, and refused to remove us, management resorted to pure malice. They began to threaten to use a local towing service to unlawfully hook up and remove our camper—fully aware that our dog was locked inside the vehicle while we worked during the week.

Between the forged legal documents, threats to our property and pet, failing electrical grids, and biohazard living conditions, this environment is entirely unsafe. If you value your finances, your safety, and your peace of mind, do not pull your rig into this park. Avoid it at all costs.

Cedar Springs RV Park is a relaxing campground, reminding me of the campgrounds of my childhood. This no frills campground is the perfect place to relax and unwind.

The proximity to Hwy 131 allows easy access to points of interest throughout SW Michigan. Downtown Grand Rapids, Meijer Garden and Lake Michigan are a quick jump on the hwy.

Cedar Springs’ downtown is a destination with unique shops, delicious food and nearby breweries. Access to the bike trail system is a short ride from camp.
The location is perfect as a weekend getaway without the long travel. Those who live nearby can arrive without long travel times.

Stay the first weekend in October and experience Flannel Days, one of the longest running festivals in the state of Michigan.

Cedar Springs RV Park is an unrecognised gem in the heart of Southwest Michigan.

Visited friends at this RV park. It was well mapped out and lot numbers were visible so we easily drove right to our destination. Enjoyable and peaceful visit. Easy to locate and drive to. Convenient location.

Rented a RV lot for 2 nights. Paid an extra $10 to guarantee my lot#. Got there and someone had taken my lot. Office closed. Took another lot. Next morning the manager (was very pleasant) apologized and gave my $10 back. So the guarantee is only worth the price you pay for it. I didnt complain but this is not good policy.

The campsites are absolutely miniscule. You get no space whatsoever. The lake is smelly but there are a lot of fishing spots around it. It seemed fairly well kept and the staff were super nice. It has a Meijer and had every restaurant in existence within a few blocks.
