Leidy Lake Campground

My family has been enjoying occasional weeeknd camping at Leidy lake for years. Most recently August 2022. Nice swimming/beach area. Good trails, huge tent area and big group lot. Good fishing and a great little lake for a kayak. Great lake views and beautiful sunsets. Lots of ponds and places to explore. Big newer playground up top but the smaller playground by beach area could be updated. We were pretty much left alone. Peaceful camping at it's finest. All of the other campers seem really nice here. Workers were kind and always smiling. (Eventhough we were running really late our last trip and were "those people" who arrived after dark... oops)...

Office is very disorganized. They shift you around from the site you thought you have. Beach was nice and lake was small but good for kayaking. Had a nice fireworks show over the lake. Bathrooms have not been updated since the 70s. No place to put stuff. Has no counters. No locks on the stalls. Showers cost $1 and only take quarters. Painted cinderblock showers need updates badly. No temp control in the showers. This campground has potential but needs some money spent on it. Be sure to bring extensions for electric. Sites are not marked out in the group areas.

It is a great place to relax and enjoy with the family. We stayed in one of the cabins by the water.
There are fish in the lake, but I think it needs to be stocked again.

Beautiful landscape and amazing campsites! Don’t listen to all these terrible reviews, they’re just people who didn’t want to follow the rules and got kicked out. Everyone is friendly and helpful and does everything they can to accommodate to your needs. Have already made reservations for another long weekend!

We are a rustic tent camping family who enjoyed staying here. The rate was reasonable at $25 a night and the host was every so kind and accommodating. One of the more beautiful campsites we've stayed at.
