We love D. H. Day! It is right on the beach, which we love, and all the sites are good, most great.

D H Day campground is full of trees, quiet, and close to many activities. If you like hikes, there are multiple trails to explore. If you like beach and swimming, there are multiple entry points without a fee. If you like biking and kayaking, you can bring your own equipment or rent in town. Food is very pricey in the area. If you bring your own, it’s much more economical. At night, you hear waves crashing on the shoreline, and coyotes and owls when it’s not peak season. Stars are very visible here as there isn’t competing light sources. If you love nature, this is the campground for you.

5

Great campground with most campers doing tent camping. The other campers were quiet and respectful, and the rangers were very helpful. Easy walk to the Lake Michigan beach. We had fun going to the Port Oneida fair and enjoyed being on a site that was particularly private. We will definitely be back again.

1

Bathrooms and maintenance was horrific
Way too many campers for not nearly enough bathrooms
Stinky

Campsite way to close to each other, more space in Walmart parking lot

Trails not maintained

We love DH day and have been camping here for 20+ years. There is so much to do in the area and the views are breathtaking. It’s
a short bike ride into Glen Arbor with a paved path the whole way there.
Great place for all ages!
