Love that this campground is right along the bike path! The water at the campground's beach was super cold which is to be expected for June on Lake Michigan; for some reason it was way warmer at the beach in Empire. Just thought I'd mention in case you're looking for a little bit warmer water but still want to avoid swimmers itch!

Campsite was great! The tent spot was level. The location is perfect for visits to Empire, Glen Arbor and Traverse City. Be sure to check out St. Ambrose, Empire Beach, Shipwreck Cafe, Broomstick and of course the Dune Clumb

Friendly park rangers, clean campsites, convenient to the beach. The beach has lots and large pebbles so wear the right shoes!

Fabulous location for the primary sites of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and the little town of Glen Arbor. Lots of mosquitoes in June. A very short walk to the Lakeshore. Vault toilets, no sinks. There is a dump station. Our campsite was level and quite wooded. We did see poison ivy around so didn't step into the brush at all.

36 is a great spot. Completely secluded on the one side and can barely see the neighbors on the other side. It was spacious enough for our pick-up, drift boat and trailer, 3 bikes, a screen house over the picnic table and our 8 person tent. Watch out for poison ivy, but that's at every site we've stayed at at DH Day.

Amazing location, spacious sites, and well maintained bathrooms (albeit pit toilets)… what more could you ask for!

Camp host was also super nice.

Nice rustic campground, quiet at night, clean bathrooms (as clean as it can be for rustic toilets). The only downfall is that there is poison ivy around most of the sites. We had two sites when we were there and both sides were surrounded with it! Makes it extremely difficult when camping with a toddler who wants to explore. We had to constantly remind him to not touch the leaves and to stay out of the woods.
