There was a group of younger people that were completely disrespectful. They were lighting off fireworks, the dogs were not leashed.

Great site for two tents. We arrived on bicycles after 70+ miles from Presque Isle WI. Great that fire ring had grill. Sweet path down to the lake for a sunset beer. It was NOT quiet until after 10pm though. Generator noise was bad. We tried to go to sleep early but couldn’t. Oh well. I’d definitely come again. Wish you had facilities with showers.

Unfortunately, Mother Nature intervened with near continuous rain for the 4 days we were there. Nonetheless, the setting, the grounds and the our campsite were splendid. This USFS campground is as fine as they come in part because of the sense of history visitors experience in camping in an area that was developed by the CCC program during the Great Depression. I should note that our trip was made especially pleasant by our host Bill who was very cordial and helpful, specifically in taking the time to trim the trees near the dump station so that our new 5th wheel could negotiate the access. We learned that Bill is a retired Naval officer who sincerely looks upon his duties as campground host as additional service to our country. Ottawa Lake is highly recommended, even if the weather may not always cooperate.
