Forestville Campground

Nice clean quiet campground. Staff are great. You can get to the trails right from camp. But the reviews are true, that light is about the same lumens as the sun and the site are pretty tight.

This place is a breath of fresh air (literally) for those of us who don’t need many frills. There was firewood for purchase, a fire pit and picnic table, access to fresh water, generous site sizes, a friendly camp host and, best of all: mountain biking and hiking trails just STEPS from camp. A true dream!

A decent campground for an area that surprisingly doesn’t have many campgrounds around. The sites are kinda all packed in together and there isn’t much underbrush between them. In the plus side it is nice and close to Marquette, also it is close to some recreation trails. Signs said dogs welcome. Vault toilets were not too bad. Nighttime light on nearby toilets.

We would camp here again, we had a good time. Everyone that camped last weekend there was very respectful, and nice. We had no issues, besides not grabbing our whole tent. Lol. Meijer and the town is not far away, thankfully. There was firewood at the campground to purchase if needed, and there were trails all around the campsite, if you wanted to go walking or biking.

A little hard to find if you’re running late and have to search during the night. Probably need 4x4 or AWD if the ground isn’t dry. Overall a very nice barebones campsite
