Stayed in Cabin A. Very reasonable rate, ac took a couple days to figure out where we liked it, (eco and might and cool during the day as it was warm during the day and it didn't keep up) they were very generous with the amount of wood you purchased from them and they don't allow outside wood brought in. Beach was nice. The blob and slide were ok, not really enough to warrant the extra cost of those if ya ask me.. we had a nice stay. Only negative I can think of was the water in the showers had a pretty strong rotten egg smell. Other then that it was all great..

Looking for a handicapped friendly camping experience? Look no further! I'm here to tell you, I am currently re-learning to walk due to a medical condition. Some days I need a wheelchair, some a walker, some a cane. I have spent 2 weekends at LOD since being diagnosed a year ago. I first stayed in the cabins. These offered raised beds for ease of getting in and out, ramps on the front porch, and are located close to the bathhouse. They are roomy and can accommodate a wheelchair with lots of room for easy transfers. They offer both heat and a/c. The bath house has a large handicapped stall with grab bars to assist. They also have smooth transitions from crushed rock/sand parking lot Infront of the bathhouse, if even the short walk can be too much for some. I most recently stayed in a tent. We had a beautiful site that accommodated all 3 assistive aides. In the front of the park they offered a lovely beach. If you are not able to get down in the sand they have a lovely patio that is easily accessed that over looks all the festivities on the beach. They have two stocked fishing ponds. I was able to join my son's on mother's Day and watch the bass hit the line and the not so littles real them in. The ponds offer great frog hunting opportunities. If you are lucky you may get to view the northern lights here. The staff does a great job of enforcing quiet time and keeping night noise to a minimum. LOD gave me my confidence to camp with my disability, and make new memories as a family. The staff is friendly and welcoming. If you call directly when making you reservation they are well aware of their sites that can assist people with disabilities, and instead give them the ability to camp. Well done Bob and all the LOD staff!!!!

Nice family campground that's always putting on themed weekends for the adults and their little ones.. nice little lake to swim in and a inflatable obstacle slide and a "person launcher" for the lake.. fishing is also allowed in the front "lake" and rear pond. Campground has a nice little store where you check in to pick up any little odds and ends you may have forgotten. Unfortunately they do not sell beer but the gas station is just a few miles down the road. For $15 they will deliver a gator bed of wood directly to your campsite. Has overnight and seasonal camping. Very friendly staff. We will be back.

Lake of Rules - The first rule is to leave your bad attitude in the ditch prior to entering. It's too bad that the people that work here don't follow the first rule because they are all miserable and all have bad attitudes. Don't forget to take 15 minutes to read their two pages of rules on top of rules on top of rules on top of rules. We had a lovely view of a fence covering the forest two piles of gravel and sand and I wonderful view of two junk campers. Their gravel pads are so soft you dig down about 8 in and then they yell at you for driving across the grass. On the other hand the activity area looks nice but they charge you for everything except breathing. This is absolutely a one and done place for me.

Great little campground! Lots of space on your site. Not a lot of shade, but the lake makes up for it to keep you cool. The kids were able to stay busy between the playgrounds and the lake and mini waterpark. Electric and water hook up on the sites. Fire pits are outdated and need to be replaced. Restrooms/showers are very clean. There is a store on site that has many things and is very reasonably priced. To use the water park, it's $10 all day or $6 for half a day. Firewood is $15 for a gator load, which is the best price around. Just wish they would stop cutting them so thin. Seems most campgrounds are making planks and then cutting them up to sell. There is a small arcade on site to also to the kids busy, with a pool table inside also. There is an amazing food truck called Zachzillas. The chili cheese and bacon fries are to die for. Great place for a quick weekend or for a week. Check it out!
