The newly added picnic table was very useful. Toilet paper was not added during our week stay, we had to use our own.

beautiful campsite on the lake! The GPS location in recreation.gov is not accurate. The correct location is 46°06'50.8"N 86°31'18.7"W. Garden Township, MI. The written description will take you to the location right on Jackpine lake.

Beautiful lake and site. Quiet. Enjoyed swimming and listening to the birds.
Took some pretty challenging roads coming in - then figured out a better route.
Horseflies and black flies were a little pesky.
No picnic table, but for the price we were very happy.

From Cooks (about 12 miles west of Manistique or 24 miles east of Rapid River on US-2): drive north 4.4 miles on County Road 442 to CR 437.
- Turn left (north) on CR 437 and drive 8.7 miles to FR 2217.
- Turn left (northwest) on FR 2217 and drive 4.3 miles to FR 2715.
- To get to site #1: Turn right (east) on to FR 2715 and drive about 0.6 mile to campsite #1.
- To get to site #2: Continue north on FR 2217 an additional 0.5 mile to FR 8137. Turn right (north) and drive about 1 mile to campsite #2.
The campground is accessible via US-2, located approximately 12 miles to the south. From US-2, travel north on County Road 442 and then onto CR 437.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
