Always a great time camping here. Did some fall camping, best time for it;)
See they’re doing “improvements” to the campground, hopefully as they’re pulling out the road in gets graded.😳
Hope whoever is the first ones in the site we had enjoys all the firewood we left 😏

We stayed at site #6. It was a nice location in that it was spacious and we had a nice view of the lake. Of course, you need to be prepared with bug repellant. Our site was next to the boat launching area and the road leading to it, which meant it got a little noisy during the morning and daytime when people come to launch their boats. Also, it was close the the ATV/motorcycle trails, so we heard them riding by and cars driving along the road from time to time. Most other campers at other sites were using RVs while we had a tent. So, I would say this location may be ideal for large vehicles and big groups but could be problematic if you're hoping to have a 100% quiet and secluded getaway.

We stayed at site 1 and it was quite private with a really nice view. It was a tight fit getting into with our 16' trailer.

Lot’s of room per site with no one nearby. Lake is small but beautiful, wish we had a kayak. There was some trash, pop cans, cigarette butts and candy wrappers left on the ground that picked up, wish people would be more aware of their littering. Dirt roads are a little scary and low hanging tree branches need to be watched. We stayed at site #9 and will be coming back when we are in the area.

The view was amazing, but the prior campers left garbage everywhere.

We have been to Lyman many times before and would give it a five star rating based on those experiences.
what makes this review a one star rating is that campers at site 2, August 28 and 28 , 2012 were extremely loud with rap music and yelling between 3 AM and 6:30 AM both nights . Also they could ge heard felling trees with a chainsaw.
I contacted Recreation.gov who assured me they were sending me an urgent request link that would help the forest service know that there was an issue that day . All we did receive was a “how is our website” survey . I also called delta county dispatch received a call from s deputy who assured me they would check the site and call or text me with a report. We never heard back. Campers at every other site on the lake left by August 27 certainly due to the campers at site 2. It would be nice if there was a better protocol available for dealing with bad campers .
