Northern Nights Campground

Posting anonymously because my experience here was not 5 star. This is NOT a 5 star RV park by any means because of the condition of facilities and how it is “operated”- both being sub par. The place is naturally very pretty, but the lack of communication, the AI answering system that is used by the owners so they remain difficult to be contacted for information, the general attitude of the owner once actually contacted, and the condition of the facilities are NOT accurate in what is being portrayed in other “5 star” reviews here. There is another review here about the awkwardly accusatory and confrontational nature of the owner that is spot on. The bath house shower area is not private and is utterly filthy and disgusting- not what pictures show it as in other reviews. Paint chipping, corrosion, and floor not cleaned- apparently for a long time. It takes a long time for paint to peel, which tells you about maintenance there. The worst I’ve ever seen at RV parks. It should be embarrassing to them. Not someplace you want to take your family- at all. Seriously. No one onsite to talk to about it, like they purposely work to avoid customers. I see the owners like to respond here, more so than to actual basic customer expectations. Should be interesting to read the response.

Addendum to owner response. Don’t you dare portray the shower area was in a state of preparation! You are an outright liar. The was NO work being done at all, anywhere on anything. This is what you left for paying customers to endure. Take the money and run. Nice try.

To the public- for almost a $5,000 season they should at least be able to withhold a scheduled phone call. Scheduled a call twice, never got a call for a seasonal site.
Very bummed, was interested in this campground.. I called and the system is an Ai bot
To add to my review, they texted me back days later and then replied to my Google review quick but there was no urgency to call me at the time slot booked through their process.

The Higgins House rental provided all that we needed and more. It is updated, super clean and affordable. The location right down street from the Cross Country Ski Headquarters was ideal for our ski weekend. I recommend!

We did seasonal site here and enjoyed our time. The non hookup sites are small and not alot of room. The staff was nice and friendly. The owners are great people and very helpful. The park is close to higgins south state park and other boat docks. Thr park is small and well kept. Very quiet park.

Lovely little campground nestled in the woods.
We stayed at a Rustic Tent site and loved it. So peaceful and quiet day and night.
We will stay again next time in the area.
