What Guests Are Saying

Jellystone Park™ Camp-Resort in South Haven offers an ideal location near local attractions and a fun, family-friendly atmosphere with various activities. While the staff are friendly, there are concerns about their training and the management of issues, particularly regarding bike rentals and pool cleanliness. Overall, the campground provides a vibrant environment for families, though some amenities, like restrooms and pool conditions, need improvement.

The location near South Haven was ideal, and we appreciated the proximity to local attractions.
Unfortunately, the rest of our experience fell short of expectations. The staff were friendly, but many seemed very young and inadequately trained. There was frequent confusion, and issues often felt unmanaged rather than resolved. Renting bikes was a particularly frustrating experience. About half of the bikes were broken, and children without flags or wristbands were able to simply walk up and take bikes despite not having paid for them.
The pool was also a major disappointment. It was already murky, and there appeared to be little to no supervision. During our visit, a child wearing a regular diaper instead of a swim diaper had an accident in the pool. The diaper contents ended up floating throughout the water, and the diaper remnants were left on the pool deck for the rest of the afternoon. The situation was unsanitary and should have been addressed immediately.
Be aware that quiet hours are enforced more like silent hours. We were not allowed to have even quiet background music at our campsite after 11 p.m.
The campsites themselves are very much the typical Jellystone experience: few trees, little privacy, and sites packed closely together. We hoped the activities and amenities would make up for that, but it felt like there was an extra charge for nearly everything. Overall, we did not feel the experience provided good value for the cost, and we will not be returning.

Went over July 4th weekend. Only complaint is the pool was actually too warm. On a 95 degree day you don't want an 80+ degree pool. It is a nice pool though.

I was visiting friends here and couldn't stop thinking about how amazing this place is! Its a fun, family-friendly, rv and tenting park (with cabins to rent) that is perfect for outdoor adventures. I was mainly visiting my friends at their rv. The lot was clean and the campground activities looked like loads of fun. I would definitely consider this camp ground for my next camping trip!!!

We had an experience I would rather not have again. I do realize it is a family friendly campground. But I saw many things that were NOT family nor friendly at all. Owner tried to make it "right" by offering free smoothies. No thanks.

Overall experience was good. Only complaint was the bathrooms. I was there Friday-Sunday and you could tell they were not cleaned. Hair on the floor in the showers, a sanitary napkin wrapper on the floor, sinks were dirty and it was like that the whole time. We didn’t except the pool to still be open being the first weekend in October in Michigan, so be sure to check. (Our fault for not checking) it was hot and would have been nice to use the pool. Halloween activities were fun. Great place for families.
