What Guests Are Saying
Lake Michigan at St. Ignace offers a beautiful campground with clean facilities and large sites, providing excellent access to the beach and stunning sunset views. While road noise from the nearby highway can be disruptive, especially during the day, it tends to quiet down at night. Campers should be prepared for mosquitoes, but overall, many guests appreciate the well-maintained grounds and friendly hosts, making it a favored spot for a relaxing stay by the water.

Nice primitive campground. We were in site 26 with a motorhome and the site was fine; be aware, though, we observed during our visit that some sites advertised as camper/rv accessible are either so off level as to make their use impractical or shaped in a way you'd need to be a magician to get anything more than a small car in there.

Nice location on Lake Michigan. Site #20 while very nice is pretty tight for recreational vehicles. We had a 25ft. Class C motorhome and it was a tight fit. Be sure to have bug spray in the springtime. Mosquitoes can be bad.

This a great spot to camp. The beach is amazing. The only issue is the road noise. I think truck drivers need their eyes checked, they drive on the rumble strips a lot. Very noisy.

The campground at Lake Michigan at St. Ignace is convenient and beautiful. It is right off the highway and close to all things Lake Michigan in the UP. St. Ignace, several smaller lakes, pasty shops, hiking trails… everything is nearby. The campsites on the lake are separated by a bluff, but the views from the top are amazing. Almost every site on the lake side has access to the beach. The best sunset of our trip was at this campground. The hosts were so nice and helpful, too. We highly recommend this campground.
