The beach is absolutely amazing! The campground is nice. Clean with large sites. Only issue is the road noise.

Beautiful place. Loved it. But, whew, the noise from the well-traveled highway just a couple hundred feed from the campsites. If you're in a tent, definitely bring ear plugs but even then it will still be noisy. Even so, I wouldn't pass it up just because of the noise. Just one night might be enough! Beautiful beach and awesome location.

There is no running water bathrooms. They were not clean and not even hand sanitizer. Very gross.

I go every year and always have a great time, I just wish the campground would sell wood and ice, it used to before, I wish it would again!

Access to the beach is available at several locations along the campground. There is a lot of traffic noise until 2:00 in the morning. There is a beach is perfect.

This is a very good campaign ground which is very close to water and have a beautiful beach to chill. Complete privacy at the beach we loved it. Camp host is very nice and friendly. Only problem is that the site is very close to the road so you will hear a lot of car noise and they don’t provide fire wood at the site so bring your own. The host was kind enough to lend us some for the night.

Recommendations for activities? I recommend campers do nothing except enjoy the view.
Yes, the campground is literally right next to Highway 2, so there's no avoiding traffic noise (surprisingly busy at night). When a truck goes by, which is not an infrequent thing, you will feel it. You also need to prepare for mosquitoes. A lot of them. If you can manage those two real hassles, this campground offers spectacular views of Lake Michigan. And in the four days we were there, we saw less than ten people walking along or swimming in the lake.
Finally--and this is no small matter--the vault toilets are the cleanest I have ever seen. They were way cleaner than many bathrooms I've seen on rest stops or gas stations, and certainly the cleanest I've seen in any national park or lakeshore.

Absolutely one of our favorite places to camp, great views, wonderful beach. Sunset are the best viewing area. Host keeps the park beautiful, nice and clean.
