This little campgrounds is set in wonderful place. The campgrounds staff was super nice. The sites were level and clean. We had forgotten a few things for our weekend and was able to get most of it from their little store. Our day out was successful with a short drive to Frankenmuth. I would definitely recommend this place. Don't pay any attention to those negative reviews. I seen nothing like what they described.

My family and I have camped here for three years now. The first trip was just an electric site. The next 2 years we were in a group site with electric and water. It was a lot of fun for the kids. They do offer fun things for them like cart train rides, hay rides, bike rentals, and even a game room. Most every weekend they have some type of project in the morning for kids to participate in and holiday weekends usually have a golf cart parade with candy. Campers will be campers so that's that. The staff seems to do there best at keeping noise to a minimum. The store has basic essentials or items you forgot. Plus ice cream. The pond is big enough to accommodate all campers and the kids have fun jumping off the dock. There are a couple playgrounds and a basketball court with multiple hoops.

The bathrooms are a little dated and they can get pretty dirty but that's camping. The full hook up sites are a bit snug, and the group sites can get a little swampy. The mini golf course is in need of repair, but all in all we don't mind camping here each year. There are always kids running around having fun and we never seem worried about their safety here.

Campground is not well kept, equipment and children’s stuff failing apart. Water is gross, watch out for snapping turtles in the swim area and the owner like to harass the children as they play and walk around together.

My family and I used to be AVID campers at Berwagna campground, due to how close it was. We have since moved to the city and only get back around those parts very seldom. We needed a place to camp to be close to family activities during the weekend, so we decided to pitch a tent. The first morning there, my husband left at 6 am to get us coffee from the gas station at 46/24. He came back and not 3 minutes upon his return the campground "security" was at our site telling us that we were driving an unsafe speed (The limit is 5 mph)- but he is on a golf cart- with no speedometer, and my husband in his truck with a spedometer, he was going 4 to 5 MPH and nothing over, as we are familier with the rules. The rest of our time there the "security" would follow up, or tell us, ok that is a good speed.

We had random kids walking all in our camp, around our tents and riding their bikes in our sites, and nothing was done about that.
The bathrooms were filthy, for the fact the camp ground was nearly empty, I went to shower and someone had actually poo'd in the trash can.
I think with the overly attentive self proclaimed security, and the nastiness of the facilities, (that are infact a Huge hop, skip and a jump away from the back of the camp), it would just be easier to stay somewhere else.

** I did enjoy the fact that the seasonal campers, weren't trapsing up and down the roads screaming and yelling all night long, like we have encountered in the past... that was a nice change. **

This was such a nice campground!! It has bathroom/shower/laundry available. It has a decent sized lake with a dock on shore and a floating dock, it also has a bridge for fishing and a pond farther back you can walk to for more fishing. Nice playground for kids and a sandy volleyball court. It also has a game room and different bikes and boats to rent. The sites are good sized, some full hookup some water and electric and some rustic. Small camp store but a little pricey, I guess that's to be expected.
