What Guests Are Saying

Adventure Bound Beaver Trails offers a large, well-maintained campground with friendly staff and a variety of family-friendly activities, including enjoyable water parks and pools. While some cabins were clean but lacked linens and amenities, the overall experience was positive, with many guests appreciating the efforts made to keep the grounds tidy and engaging. However, concerns were raised about safety issues related to large dead trees over campsites and the handling of a cleanliness incident at the pool, as well as a desire for a reinstated adult-only pool policy for a more relaxing atmosphere.

The Waterpark was nice. The kids all enjoyed it. The store is nice. There were staff that picked up garbage regularly and brought firewood around for sale.
The campground, itself is very large
with very narrow roads and the campsites are very close together. Ours was under a very very large, dead oak tree that looked to have been dead for a long time. It hangs over two camp sites with many large rotted branches that would be a tragedy to fall on campers and, or people/kids. Our friends in the next campsite, also were worried, as it hung over their campsite and camper and a thunderstorm moved in and high winds were forecast. You would think that the management would see the possible liability and remove it.

We spent the weekend at Adventure Bound in a Premium Cabin. The cabin was as I expected from the photos. A bit dated but clean and everything worked. We have very limited interaction with the staff but everyone we talked to was very friendly. They have put alot of effort into planning family friendly activities. The kids always had something to do and the more you explore the grounds the more it seems like you'll find.

Pros: Friendly staff, Clean cabins, Pools and slides were open all weekend, grounds are very walkable, Plenty of activities for kids.

Cons: Our cabin did not come with any bedding (trip to Wal-Mart, 15 minutes away), No paper towels or napkins, No bath towels, had dish soap but no dish rag or towels (had rack to air dry), no checkout instructions (we took trash out and left the cabin as we found it).

The Rustic Cabins clearly state no linens are provided, the Premium Cabins do not state this and the photos show a pile of blankets on a bed. At $125 a night more than a Rustic Cabin, I wasn't expecting to make a late run to Wal-Mart and spend another $200 on stuff I could have brought from home but didn't because I believed it would have been provided.

Adventure Bound is a great place! Many slides and water themed activities. My family and I had a great time swimming in the heated pools.

Friday, AB had an incident. Human feces were found by the younger staff and was not handled properly or professionally. The staff did not warn anyone about the incident, or to remove from the pool. The staff had removed the substance but then proceeded to chase other staff around with the contaminated net. By doing this, they dragged the contaminated water along multiple chairs and the floor. They then decided to dump the substance over the fence onto a walking path. No cones were put to block others getting into the pool, and I do not know if the water was treated.

Staff should be more professional and mature while doing a small job. The stay was great but staff needs teaching.

Great campground, but desperately needs to bring back the adult-only pool policy
I have always loved staying at this campground to unwind after a long work week, but the recent shift in pool policies has really impacted the experience.
What used to be a quiet, relaxing sanctuary at the smaller pool has become crowded and rowdy. The campground already does a fantastic job catering to families by providing a large pool and two separate, amazing water parks specifically for children. Adults need a dedicated space to relax, too.
Furthermore, removing the adult-only policy is a major safety and accessibility issue. For disabled and older guests, navigating a pool filled with high-energy splashing can feel incredibly vulnerable and unsafe. Having a designated adult-only space ensures that everyone can enjoy the water safely and peacefully.
This campground is wonderful, but management truly needs to reinstate the adult-only policy for the smaller pool so all guests can fully enjoy their stay.

We had driven past Adventure Bound several times while traveling to appointments in Rochester, and this past weekend we decided to stay there before an upcoming appointment. From the moment we checked in, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful.

Throughout the entire weekend, Rebecca and her team went above and beyond to make sure our family had a great experience. One thing that stood out right away was how spacious and well-maintained the campsites were. We never felt crowded, and it was clear that a lot of care goes into keeping the campground clean and in great condition.

While the weather didn't always cooperate, there was still plenty to enjoy. The pool and water slides were a huge hit with my older son, while my younger son loved the playground and the many activities offered throughout the campground.

What impressed us most was how much there was to do, even when the rain moved in. The staff worked hard to make sure everyone could still have fun, and they truly created a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. Despite the less-than-perfect weather, we had an absolute blast and made some wonderful memories.

We're already looking forward to coming back again later this summer!
