Hollers at guests and children —this turned what should’ve been a very relaxing stay into a place you feel like you're constantly being watched and walking in egg shells.

We were at the pool, people swimming, kids playing, everyone just relaxing—and suddenly the owner is yelling very loudly across the entire pool telling everyone to show wristbands (scaring everyone), because a couple of my guests forgot to check in. Instead of just coming up to just us or handling it quietly, it turned into being hollered at, publicly embarrassed and humiliation, for everyone.
I have never been treated so disrespectful, or my children, or my guests. I understand we broke the rule to register guests (who forgot to stop at front). I am an adult and the others with me are all Christian School friends who are kind and respectful people. We are adults who never deserve to be yelled at or publicly humiliated because you find it acceptable to yell at, demean, and used to intimidate adults and children. We were not trying to steal the $7 per person, they were excited to get there and see us. This could have been handled like top quality camp grounds and resorts. We could have been treated with dignity, respect, kindness and helpful support. A quick quiet few sentences, I see your guests forgot to register and get wrist bands please send them in when they take a swimming break or offer assistance with this, Or a very polite text message or phone call. Or just add them to my account.

Then it happened again another day—yelling at a couple of teenage boys in the pool. They were just being kids, and instead of a normal conversation, it turned into another loud scene. You could see people getting uncomfortable, and the boys were clearly embarrassed.
That’s the pattern here. It’s not just rules—it’s how everything is handled.
Even just asking questions, the tone comes off condescending and child like lecture, like you’re being scolded instead of helped.
And the overall feel of the place is hard to ignore. You get escorted to your site in a campground so small you can literally see everything from the building. After that, it just feels like you’re being watched the whole time by prison guards—not a relaxing environment, more like you’re waiting to be yelled at or corrected.
All The strict rules aren’t even the main issue—it’s how they’re applied or enforced. It just feels uneven and overly controlled.
By the end, it felt like everyone was just walking on eggshells, trying not to do anything wrong or draw attention.
If you want to actually relax and feel like a guest, this is not the place. Go somewhere else.

We stayed for 6 days remote working on the lakeside. Connie & Phil were the nicest campground owners. Very well kept and clean. Perfect work/live balance. Highly recommend.

Coni and staff are absolutely FANTASTIC! You can tell that they take great pride in their campground (as they should). So many activities for families with littles, or families without littles. Although it is near a busy road, you don't even hear the traffic. Restrooms are very clean. All around a great place. Thanks staff for making our stay great!
We'll definitely be back

Wow... just wow!!! The service, the scenery and the amenities were all more than we could have asked for! To list just a few they've got a heated pool with two slides, hot showers, a large park, beach front AND boat rentals!! The campground itself was clean and maintained between each guest. A truly relaxing destination!
We enjoys hours of relaxing under the trees in our rocking camping chairs and then switched to 'excitement mode' and rented a pontoon. Prices were incredibly reasonable as well! The campground manager, Connie was an absolute gem and runs a great business there!

Our family absolutely loves this campground! We started coming here for a family vacation when covid shut things down and we could not travel far....it has now become our yearly family vacation tradition because we love it so much! Owners are great and treat you like family! Our kids love the pool, playground and basketball area! It is all very well maintained and family friendly. Can't say enough gold things about this place! I hope we can continue to enjoy this place for many years!
