Cross Lake Recreation Area offers spacious, well-maintained campsites with beautiful views and a friendly, attentive staff, making it a great spot for camping. While the restroom and shower facilities could use some improvements in cleanliness and maintenance, the overall atmosphere is pleasant and family-friendly, with ample opportunities for outdoor activities. Campground kept very clean. Rangers keep an eye on campers and keep a consistent environment. Reservations very difficult to obtain. There was some talk that thefts were taking place where campers are allowed to store their boats near the boat ramps. Non campers allowed to use the launch free during Covid...could this be contributing to the theft problems?

It would be nice if there was a way to add a sticker to boats so that the boats moored at the campground were associated with a campsite. Some people leave them and go home during the week and come back the next weekend. If your boat had an active tag it would be easier to see that the owner of the boat actually had a campsite for the time the boat is moored.
Great lakes. If you don't have a boat consider renting one to each this beautiful chain of lakes.
