Cross Lake Recreation Area offers spacious, well-maintained campsites with beautiful views and a friendly, attentive staff, making it a great spot for camping. While the restroom and shower facilities could use some improvements in cleanliness and maintenance, the overall atmosphere is pleasant and family-friendly, with ample opportunities for outdoor activities. Many visitors appreciate the park's cleanliness, walking paths, and proximity to local attractions, making it a popular destination for repeat campers.

Bathrooms were awful. Hardly cleaned. They were not cleaned even everyday. No soap. Ran out of toilet paper. Never had this before, everything was always great for the past 20 years.

Only issue is the main bathroom shower building needs remodeling. Tiles are gone on floor in showers and wall tiles are broken. And shower stall is a foot too narrow.

Nice large campsites. Beautiful small town. Did my part to clean one of the moldy shower stalls.
Please provide info to website that potable water is available when you arrive with RV.

I love USACE campgrounds! Especially when I get a 50% discount with my Senior Pass! Cross Lake was beautiful, clean and well maintained. The large older trees kept it shady, and the restrooms and showers were cleaned twice daily. Wonderful place to spend a few days!

We had a very restful 10 days in the park. We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets and all the nice campers and staff. We were asked several times why so many spots sat empty and it said online they were reserved. We had a friend who would have come that week, but couldn't get in. Even people in town were asking us why so many were empty. The spots should be released so somebody can use them if the people don't show up maybe by the second night.

The campsite and grounds were all very clean. The camp workers do an excellent job of getting everything tidied up before new people move in! The only negative I would say is the bathrooms are in major need of an upgrade.

We had a wonderful stay at Cross Lake Campground! Everything was great, and we really enjoyed the campground, the lake, and the facilities.
One suggestion we had would be to create a designated parking area along the docks specifically for Jet Skis/personal watercraft. Perhaps it could be designed somewhat like angled parking stalls, where Jet Skis could simply drive into individual angled spaces from the water. This could allow several Jet Skis to be parked together in the space that might otherwise accommodate only one or two boats.
We noticed quite a few Jet Skis occupying individual boat slips during our stay, so having a designated Jet Ski parking area could make much more efficient use of the available dock space while still giving Jet Ski owners a convenient place to park.
Overall, we had a great experience and really enjoyed our stay at Cross Lake Campground. We look forward to coming back!

Love the camp ground and area! Cross Lake has lots to do and see. HOWEVER, this camp ground is in need of some serious updates to the bathrooms, especially the one that has been there forever! I've been camping here for 50 years without seeing much modification/improvement in those shower rooms.

We have been camping here for many years and now we are on our 5th generation. It's always a great vacation trip!
