Cross Lake Recreation Area

This is a great campground. Lot of space to get your camper in snd plenty of trees for shade and privacy. Loved our stay there.

Easy check in and easy check out. The sites are very well maintained and very spacious. We always enjoy our stay. Also, employees are very friendly and helpful.

This place still has the same charm it had when I was a kid camping there, and there have been some wonderful improvements to protect wildlife and restore shorelines. I had a wonderful time bringing my child there.

This is one of the most beautiful and well-maintained RV Campgrounds that we have visited in our 4 years of RV-ing. Sites are fairly level and are situated well to allow for almost effortless back-in. Additonally, the campground is less than a mile from my Mother's home.

Very well maintained campground, friendley staff, nice docks available, sandy beach.

Very nice campground. Lots of trees. Very quiet at night. Had some barkers next to us that were kind of annoying. Very helpful staff.

This was my second stay at the campground this summer. After checking out in July, I left a complaint with the on-duty park ranger about the poor cleaning and maintenance of the bathrooms. Though the cleaning of the bathrooms was slightly better this time, it was still poor at best. Soap dispensers were left empty, shower stalls were not cleaned for days at a time, and after "mopping", sand was everywhere on the floors.

The lack of maintenance of the bathrooms was also very evident. Screens were broken letting in many flying insects in, especially during the night-time. Broken and non-functional stall doors have not been fixed. The same was true for broken shower valves and shower heads which have not been addressed in years.

What else was evident at the campground was the lack of oversight by the COE Rangers. The only time I saw them was when they drove around in their golf cart. In years past, the rangers were far more visible. Not only checking on the park facilities but also organizing activities for young ones.

I have long thought of the Crosslake COE Campground as a real gem and a wonderful place for a vacation with the family. I do hope that I am not seeing the slow decline of this special place.

Cross Lake Recreational Campground has become our favorite place to camp! We love that there is so much to do from swimming, boating, going for walks, and even watching the beautiful sunsets! This summer we have even found small painted rocks in the public areas! The bathrooms are always kept clean and the staff are the absolute best!! And for those who like shopping, there's small shops within walking distance! What more can you ask for?
