Beautiful and very quiet there. Cleanest bath & restrooms by far. Instant hot water and great pressure to. Great host's. Park Ranger Megan is the best ever. Such a pleasant person

From Deer River, Minnesota, take Highway 2 west for one mile. Turn right on Highway 46 and go 12 miles. Turn left on Itasca County 9 and continue 2 miles, then turn left at signs and follow to the campground.
Winnie Dam Campground is accessible via Highway 2, which is approximately 1 mile from Deer River, and Highway 46, which is accessed by turning right from Highway 2.
Elevation: 404 feet
15 mi drive to downtown Deer River (about 17 min)

- *This is a USACE Campground (Winnie Dam). Some visitors can get this confused with a U.S. Forest Service Campground titled: Winnie Campground.
- There is a code for the bathroom/shower building, please see host for code.
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
