The site was almost clean. The view is amazing. The bugs were epic. It’s just a great sight.

It’s a joy to stay at this clean, well-run campground. Entry points to both Sea Gull and Gull Lakes and beyond.

I've camped here many times. Love it up here and just about every site is perfect. The wilderness cafe has an awesome staff with canoe and kayaks for rent.

It was a great campground and the views were amazing! We were at site 4 so had water hookup and had no issues with that. The bathrooms were clean and always stocked with plenty of toilet paper. The only downfall we had is that we struggled to find the office as there never seemed to be anyone there. We ended up going to a different outfitter to find firewood and ice and Wi-Fi to be able to make any calls. The Trails End Cafe also wasn’t open so that was a bit of a bummer. We will definitely look at booking again though.

Had to go to a resort to get ice. Didn't have any at Way of the Wilderness.

Great campground. Sites seem mostly well spaced out and some have wonderful views and the sounds of the river. If you plan to paddle, it's worth noting where to put in compared to where the waterfalls are located. Dragged our camper up from Minneapolis, and can say the gunflint trail is increasingly bumpy the last 20 mi or so. Stopping in Grand Marais for food is fun, but gets crowded/parking with a camper can be hard. Campground is a winner, will be back.

Really a nice campground. Fun to see the BWCA paddlers coming and going. The Magnetic Rock hike is well worth the time.
