Pioneer Campsite Resort

Great campground! We loved the amenities and thought the family atmosphere was fun and inclusive. Booking was smooth and the hosts let us switch spots for an easier to access one for our fifth wheel, which was awesome. Rented a canoe from the campground and checked out the lake next to the entrance. Great experience excited to come back for some fishing! Our dog had a lot of fun. Even the pizza cutter we got works great! Thanks for a good weekend.

We have made it a tradition to stay here now for 6 years in a row. The first two years we rented a camper online and the second year there we realized they have one cabin on site. The cabin is awesome. Two queen beds, two single beds in one room and then a bunk bed along with an arcade machine with Pac-Man and some other game on it as well as a foosball table. My three boys love coming here. Everyone seems to have a golf cart so we had to buy one two years ago to fit in and the boys absolutely love cruising around listening to music on the golf cart. The pool is always clean, they added a new pickleball court which is amazing and they're two parks are fun as well. The people there seem to be very friendly. The owners are great. Paul and Brenda go out of their way to make sure that our family is very comfortable and happy with our stay every single time. They also have a gas bonfire and some chairs around the office as well as a jumbo chess board that the kids love playing. You can rent canoes and kayaks from them and take them straight across to a boat access which we did for the first time this year. They also sell firewood on site if you need it as well as snacks. They've recently added a barista at their snack shack in the mornings where we got delicious coffee and some coffee cake. I can't say enough about how much fun our family has at this campground. Just wrapped our first visit to Pioneer- and it was great! This was our first time at a private campground (compared to state parks typically) and we will definitely be back. Our 2 year old had a great time at the playgrounds and the pool! The kid pool was a huge hit. Extremely clean public restrooms and the snack shack was a fun surprise. Seemed like majority permanent spots- which we liked. Had a very homey and safe feel. Ownership was very friendly. Thank you for a great stay!

We love this camp ground. We love the location and really LOVE the family that runs it. We are always welcomed with open arms. I shared my story of my Daughter passing away of suicide. The owner took time to listen and gave me a great big hug. I also am very religious and they have a church service on Sunday. I also LOVE this about the camp ground. Thank you again. We rented the cabin. There were lots of beds, a Foosball table and a Pacman machine. The shower house was nice and new; looks pretty and is clean and cozy. The cabin is stocked with everything you need including a BBQ grill. We love going there. Brenda and Paul are so accommodating and such kind-hearted people. Thank you for our stay there!!!
