The camp sites were beautiful! They were level and easy to pull into. The swimming area was great! I had been coming to the swimming area since I was a kid. This was the first time to bring our camper and it was amazing!

The sites are very good spaced with good views of the area. The bathrooms were nice. The park is quiet and relaxing. Will be back.

Nice Campground. We use in for an overnight stay while traveling south on the Natchez Trace. Very few campers on the weekday night we were there. Clean level sites. We were in a Class B van.

Beautiful lake! Wish the playground was a little more fun for the kiddos but still had a blast! Great nature trails!

Baths were clean and had good warm water. Grounds presented nicely, my only complaint would be that our pad could have had a barrier to route the water away .

It is a beautiful park. We camped for one night, and it was lovely. The only missing thing was a bathhouse. They had one flush toilet for women and one flush toilet for men, with sinks. There are no shower facilities.

From Jackson, Mississippi, travel Highway 25 north toward Starkville. Turn onto Highway 15 north toward Ackerman, Mississippi, and travel 11 miles to Forest Road 967 to the campground.
Choctaw Lake is accessible from Highway 25 and Highway 15, both of which connect to Ackerman, Mississippi.
Elevation: 164 feet

General
- This recreation area is labeled as an expanded amenity site. Day Use: $5 (fishing, hiking, swimming, boating, picnicking, etc.) Day-use closed during campground . With a pass, the $5 is discounted to $2.50.Camping: $20/night ($14 camping fee + $6 hook-up fee) (.)When paying online and/or scan and pay, Recreation.gov will charge a service fee at check-out.When adding a pass with online payment, the 50% discount applies to the $14 camping fee. Therefore, the total will become $13 per night, with a pass. ($7 camping fee + $6 hook-up fee).

- Don't Move Firewood: Help protect our forests! Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. Moving firewood is illegal in some states. Visit dontmovefirewood.org to learn more.
- Pets are not allowed on the beach. Pets must be leashed at all times within the recreation area.
- No drugs or alcohol allowed per Closure Orders
- This is a NO WAKE lake.
- All sites have water and electric hook-ups only; however, there is a dump station located adjacent to the front entrance of the recreation area.
- ATVS, UTVS, & GOLF CARTS are not permitted.
