This campground was a great surprise. Located in a beautiful, quiet forest type setting with a pond, lake and wildlife. The camp manager was very friendly and helpful. Great location for families and retirees like us. Has a nice pool, covered pavilion and a snack shack. If you are looking for a really nice spot to spend a little time, this is the place. Will definitely camp there again when we are in the area!

We stopped through just for the night using harvest host and everything was great! Beautiful, secluded and easy booking. We didn’t have any problems and the hosts were very accommodating. The site was plenty big. We stayed in a pull through sites with full hookups and you could easily put a full size 18wheeler through it you wanted to. Huge sites. This will become a regular stop during our travels

This was our first trip to the camp ground, The map shown on the website leads you to believe there is some you between you and other campers. We were parked on top of eachother. When we arrived the pool must have had 50 people in it (very small pool, maybe 16x32 at best) and the "DAY PASS PARKING" lot was full across from the pool area indicating there were a lot of non campers on the grouonds for july 3rd. So we didnt get to use the pool our first day. July we did notice fewer is any day pass attendees, which meant the pool was pretty open but when we did arrive to use the pool it was very cloudy. Rest rooms are very hot as are the shower rooms. but clean and maintaned. The snack shack made dinner options easy as it was too hot to cook! Dog park is nice but could use some repairs, small dog park has a large gap at the gate and dogs easiy escaped. Dog park was clean and well maintained, pooper scooper near the gate and a proper disposal for fecal mater was also supplied.
Music every night was pleasant, but be aware bug spray doesnt not work on their bugs, we had 3 kinds of spray and none of them worked.
Pleasant stay over all, but was disappointed to see so many day pass attanedees on a weekend the park was sold out of camping spaces which were parked very tightly.

Our family loves to come here, they regularly run events with vendors and games and the holidays are always fun filled for the whole family. The pond is a great place to fish (if your into that sort of thing) and the pool/grounds are kept clean and the property is always in good condition. We live about 45min from here and pass by 3-4 parks on our way here, but it's worth it for the experience.
I would 100% recommend Askew's Landing for any reason, whether it's a quiet getaway for a night or two, or a fun family trip, you won't be let down!

My husband and I went on a 7-week road trip in our travel trailer. We had lots of changes to our plans due to the weather, and we happened to be passing through Mississippi and came across this awesome spot. We found a gem. Sandy and her husband run the family-owned RV/Lake Site, they are so warm and accommodating and made us feel right at home. You would never know it is not far off the I-20. It was on our trip home; however, you feel worlds away from noise, traffic, people. It is a private oasis. It is a clean, quiet, and has beautiful, lush surroundings with a pond and larger lake for fishing. It is an absolute must go-to place if you happen to be passing through the area or want a weekend of peace and tranquility. We ended up staying an extra few days because it was so peaceful. Thank you, Sandy, for making our trip so pleasant. We hope to one day pass through again. Have fun on your travels as well.
