Chickasaw Hill offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience with spacious, paved sites and stunning lake views, making it a favorite for many visitors. However, there are concerns about maintenance, such as overgrown grass, unclean bathrooms, and inadequate staff presence, which detracts from the overall enjoyment. While some campers appreciated the campground's potential and amenities, issues like trash overflow and noise from non-campers suggest a need for better management to enhance the experience.

I had a hard time finding the host when I arrived, and when I got to site 37, it was covered in cigarette butts. On my way to the store, I finally saw the host and told him about the site. His response was, “Well good for you,” which came off pretty rude. He then pointed me to the dumpster and made a comment about me having a big truck. He wasn’t very friendly and didn’t offer to clean the site, and nothing was done about it.
Luckily, I was able to switch to site 22 by myself using the app, which was clean and had a nice view. The campground itself is nice, but it doesn’t seem to be maintained as well as it should be. If passing through again, I’d probably go back only if I could stay on the lower side, and I’d only recommend it to friends for that part of the park.

Highly disappointed at the up keep. We have camped here several times and never has it been this bad.

This campsite used to be nice and well taken care of. This time was a completely different experience. The grass was grown up and made it hard to get to the tent pads. The bathrooms were out of toilet paper the whole weekend. The shower stalls were stopped up and other people’s shower water overflowed into your shower.
We will not be staying here again.

When we got there and unloaded on Saturday the power was off. This should have been our hint to pack back up and go home. But the power came back on so we stayed. By 10 in the morning the power was going on and off again. We decided we were not going to listen to our generator running the whole time we were there so we left. It was Labor Day weekend so it was very hot and everyone’s AC units were running causing a high draw on the services. We paid for 3 days and stayed less than 24 hours. Facilities were ok. Grass was cut. Area was clean.

The campground host was very friendly and the camper pads for parking were very nice but the grass not getting mowed made it not a good site. The host did fastly mow an area around us in the evening but not a complete mowing. In all fairness to him he was a one man show and worked elsewhere in the day. Wasn’t thrilled with the non camping people driving in at all hours of the night. Made you feel unsafe as to who could be coming in. Had no check in station. You just did your reservation online then just drove on in. Just need to add a few more hosts and a check in station. Could be a better safer feeling campground.
