What Guests Are Saying
Persimmon Hill offers a lovely camping experience with clean, spacious, and mostly level campsites, many with beautiful lake views and abundant wildlife, including deer. Facilities are well-maintained, and the campground provides excellent value, especially for seniors with the America the Beautiful Pass. While some sites have minor issues, such as grass height and traffic concerns, most visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and friendly camp hosts, making it a favorite destination for many.

Site was level and shady as advertised. However, there were numerous pieces of small litter at the site. Bath houses, men's and womem's, were always clean, and there was plenty of hot water. At one visit, my wife discovered there was no toilet pate in her bath house. She reported it to the camp host and the matter was quickly solved. There were camp hosts but no sign which host was on duty nor was there any checkin procedures. I learned from a Park Ranger that the host traveled the campground in the morning and checked each site. Seemed unusual from previous campgrounds we have visited. Overall a good experience.

WHEN WE FIRST ARIVED AND STARTING GETTING SET UP TO OUR DISAPPOINTMENT I HAD CAMPER UNHOOKED, SEWER AND WATER HOOKED UP, SLIDES OUT AND LEVELED UP ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT ELECTRICAL PEDASTAL 50 AMP HOOK UP WAS BAD. LUCKY ENOUGH SPOT NEXT TO US WAS AVAILABLE. BILL ONE OF THE CAMP HOSTS AND WEBB ONE OF THE RANGERS HELPED GET IN TOUCH WITH SOMEONE TO FIX NEXT DAY SO OUR 10 DAY STAY WAS GOOD.

Stayed on site 34. This campground was clean and enjoyable. We had nice views and next to bathhouse. Had 3 bars for Verizon and c spire to stream tv. We were so impressed with this campground we’re planning another trip soon. On a side note right outside the campground entrance was a restaurant, catfish hut, that had great food and service.
