What Guests Are Saying
Persimmon Hill offers a lovely camping experience with clean, spacious, and mostly level campsites, many with beautiful lake views and abundant wildlife, including deer. Facilities are well-maintained, and the campground provides excellent value, especially for seniors with the America the Beautiful Pass. While some sites have minor issues, such as grass height and traffic concerns, most visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and friendly camp hosts, making it a favorite destination for many.

Sites were nice and level.extra wide to park boat or car.Would have been better if paved all the way down so you could have a nice flat setting area.picnic tables were all on opposite sides of camper so if sitting under your awning you was staring at neighbors eating.never saw any host!nice it was full hookup.Park definitely need available friendly knowledgeable hosts.

The park and campsite was clean. We stayed at campsite #6 and it was easy to back in with plenty of clearance.

After the ice storm the team has put everything together as it should be. Thanks to the camp host for their hospitality

The campground here is well maintained. As our first camping trip, this checked all the boxes as we learned about our camper and enjoyed the solitude, scenery, and well deserved weekend getaway.

The only area we could use of our campsite was the part we laid our rug on to push the grass down. The grass was knee deep. Couldn’t even get to the picnic table and had to walk dogs on other lots. Leaving a message when office was closed at 4:25 pm did no good and when camp host was mowing common areas he said he wasn’t supposed to be doing that so he couldn’t do our lot.

Very pleasant park. Good views of the lake. Well kept. Loved walking at the campground and in the swimming area.

I like this campground but some of the sites needs work. Site 52 had a slope to the ground when stepping out of the camper. The area was muddy and slippery, especially since it rained. Too many tree roots that were exposed above ground that you could easily trip over. Other than the visit was fine.
