What Guests Are Saying
Persimmon Hill offers a lovely camping experience with clean, spacious, and mostly level campsites, many with beautiful lake views and abundant wildlife, including deer. Facilities are well-maintained, and the campground provides excellent value, especially for seniors with the America the Beautiful Pass. While some sites have minor issues, such as grass height and traffic concerns, most visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and friendly camp hosts, making it a favorite destination for many.

We enjoyed Persimmon Hill Campground so much we came back three days later to enjoy it more! We found it to be very clean with level sites and easy hook ups. The view of the lake from site 51 is perfect and there’s a swing for two nearby for gazing out over the water below. The north entrance (Enid exit) affords a scenic drive which includes the road along the top of the massive dam. Then there’s the nearby fish hatchery with its large aquarium stocked with fish found in local waters…. plus the museum in the same building. There’s plenty to love about Persimmon Hill!

Always a joy to spend 2 weeks at Persimmon hill.
This time, however, the restroom facilities were not up to their usual condition. Several times there was no toilet tissue or paper towels in the mens room. Since we deposit no solids in our black tank, this gets a little annoying.
