What Guests Are Saying
Persimmon Hill offers a lovely camping experience with clean, spacious, and mostly level campsites, many with beautiful lake views and abundant wildlife, including deer. Facilities are well-maintained, and the campground provides excellent value, especially for seniors with the America the Beautiful Pass. While some sites have minor issues, such as grass height and traffic concerns, most visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and friendly camp hosts, making it a favorite destination for many.

This is our favorite campground!!! We come here a few times a year! We love the trees, the lighted walking trail, the amphitheatre and just everything about this campground!

Everything was great. Grass was cut and bathhouse was clean. Park rangers came by to make sure everything was good. Safe place for the kids to run around and play. 5 STARS!!! The camp host go above and behind to keep the campground looking great!!

Everything was wonderful. The property, not just the campground but the whole lake compound was beautifully manicured and well kept. Rangers were friendly and helpful. It is our favorite campground close to home. Only note is that because we haven't had as much rain this year the water was lower at our campsite so we had to carry our kayaks further to put in. Last year at the same time water was high and it was nicer to put our kayaks in closer to our campsite.

This place is great, nice, clean and the camp host Rob and Lisa Harlow are very helpful and knowledgeable about the camp ground. We will definitely be visiting again.

We loved our time at this COE campground. We had a very nice waterfront full hookup site for $12 a night, what a deal. We love COE campgrounds.
