What Guests Are Saying
Persimmon Hill offers a lovely camping experience with clean, spacious, and mostly level campsites, many with beautiful lake views and abundant wildlife, including deer. Facilities are well-maintained, and the campground provides excellent value, especially for seniors with the America the Beautiful Pass. While some sites have minor issues, such as grass height and traffic concerns, most visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and friendly camp hosts, making it a favorite destination for many.

Very nice campground. Just were very nice. We enjoyed our stay very much. Only issue was traffic in campground. We were fairly isolated on site 51 (great site) and there was an unusually high amount of vehicles driving past our site. Traffic was not from people camping as there was only 2 other campers while we were there. Must have been traffic from the public. Didn’t have any problems it just made us a little uncomfortable when we left our site to visit the surrounding area

We stayed in site 17 with a 45’ motor home. The site is FHU, very level and had a nice view. Will definitely stay again when in the area. Very pleasant area and fairly close to the interstate for easy access.
