Camping at Wallace Creek is great. Campsites from 32 down to 43 used to be the best before camp host talked the corps into installing a playground. Now the kids run thru campsites and scream at playground, while parents are no where to be seen. This past weekend the playground was a trash yard. Toys everywhere, on playground and around the grass area. Looked like a junk yard. Something has to be done. Rangers aren’t doing their jobs policing the playground, children, and parents.

Spot 41 was not exactly level. View was better than average. Nearby bench on ridge point was perfect place to relax.

First time I have stayed at this campground, but definitely won't be my last. We reserved site 24 for 9 days. The campground is in excellent condition. The camp hosts were extremely nice. The sites are large and nicely spaced. Most of the lots at this campground are shaded for a large portion of the day. We had a terrific lake view where we could walk down the hill and watch sunrises and sunsets. The bathhouse that was closest to our site was very clean and air conditioned. Very nice showers. There is a little country store just up the road that sells basic camping supplies, fishing supplies and bait, etc. Batesville, MS is only 10 miles away with lots of restaurants, shopping, etc. Can't wait to go back this fall since I love sitting around a fire.
