Our trip to Roosevelt started off bad with a blown tire on the truck. We finally arrived at Roosevelt State Park at 9:30 pm. It was our first trip and we didn't know where we were going. The entrance to the park and the rv sites is very, very dark. Finally found our site and it was wonderful!!! Love the large parking area for our rv and truck and it was so quiet. We were right on the lake and the sunrise the next morning was spectacular!! My only complaint about the park would be the lack of shade on the larger lake front sites. I walked around and only found 1 in our section that had any shade mid-morning to evening. It was HOT!! Most everyone was inside. Maybe get some trees planted out there to help with the heat?? Also, the inner sites had shade, but the parking area was narrow and short. Not sure where you would park your tow vehicle. Drove the the other side and the same situation over there. Think we will come back in the fall when we can enjoy the view in the daytime.

Live Wallace creek. Great sites, most are full service. Park is easy to maneuver. Easy on and off interstate.

We had a wonderful time. Right outside the camper a couple of days were deer grazing in the woods right beside us close enough to watch. Swimming was good also.

I love this campground but the sites need mowed on a more consistent basis. Sometimes, the grass is high and trimming seldom gets done.

This was a beautiful campground with large sites. We had a lovely view of the lake , and enjoyed our time there. We enjoyed walking around sitting in the campsite with the beautiful lake all around us.

We were at Wallace Creek during the July 4th holiday. Positives: the rangers made regular rounds, the cove was quiet and close to the lake. Negatives: the lot we booked stated it had shade, there was no shade on this lot. The bathroom and shower closest to our camp area did not have the A/C turned on so it was like taking a shower in a sauna. We did finally find a shower and restroom with the A/C on. The bathrooms in our cove were not cleaned regularly.
