We love Wallace Creek Campground. We camp there every year and usually have 3-5 sites we reserve with friends from other states. We live in Alabama and prefer Wallace Creek over any other campground weβve been to. The hosts are wonderful and the campground is clean and beautiful. We love that it has full hookups and concrete slabs which a lot of Corp of Engineer campgrounds donβt have these amenities. Everyone in our group are seniors and we all take advantage of the half price discount using the Senior Pass. Thereβs also a swimming area with a bathhouse. We also take advantage of shopping at the little store right outside of the campground. We always get their yummy Byron thick sliced bologna that they slice as thick as you want. They have Cajun roast beef and Cajun Turkey they slice up for you thatβs wonderful. We were told by a local couple thereβs a couple close by places to eat thatβs great but I donβt know the name but you can ask the host. The campground is about an hours drive north to Memphis, TN if you want to do a day trip. Thereβs also a Super Walmart about 10 miles north in Batesville, MS.
