Terrific pad for camper - double wide for extra parking; site was not very level but manageable; love the concrete picnic table; grill would have been better if u could rotate the grate up completely - using a charcoal chimney makes it hard to unload charcoal into grill

Excellent campsite, #91 in Wood in late April. Unfortunately, we were supposed to be camping in #92 for the night but somebody jumped our claim and took our campsite. Luckily, #91 next door to it was open and we took it and nobody showed up. Being a weekday, the park wasn't busy. Site #91 had just as good a view of the lake as did #92 so I never said anything to the lone camper next door, figuring he probably had a gun anyway and would shoot me if I told him he was a campsite thief. He looked like the type. The next morning the park ranger came by and I spoke with him and complained to him about what happened and he apologized and said it happens all the time and, since nobody is really there to check on things, there is not much that can be done about it. So, in other words, tough luck, buddy. However, I won't let that sour my feelings about this great camping area. I would recommend camping at Wallace Creek campground. As a note, we camped here the previous week on our southbound trip and stayed in site # 41 which was also excellent, great view of the massive lake. Just be aware of claim jumpers. There is a nice little store with food and bait near the camp entrance but not much else around there except the Pope Country Cafe on old hwy 51. It was decent.

One of the nicest campgrounds, public or private, I have ever stayed at. Sites are extra wide and long.
The site picnic tables are top-notch. And the views of Lake Enid afforded the best sunrises and sunsets. Overall
the facilities are in pristine condition. If they got wifi thru out the campground, I don't think I would ever leave.
