As with most Corps of Engineer’s parks we’ve seen, this one was very nice. Located along the Tombigbee Waterway, the sunset was beautiful. There are a couple of fishing docks, a boat launch ramp, and a few walking trails at the park. We had a concrete site pad and there were large green areas throughout. The park was just a few miles from I-22.

Really liked Whitten Park and only two things really keep me from rating it 5 stars. The first is the water view isn’t quite as good as some of the other parks but primarily because the cell service could be better. Neither of these things are the fault of the Campground. Staff was excellent. The roads and pads were good and the park was well kept. I will use it again and highly recommend it to other campers
