Trails lead throughout the park. Bathhouse was dated but kept clean. Barges flowed with the river and Air Force jets put on a display, following the river. Sunsets were amazing. There are 3 fishing piers, boat launch, and beach area with shower wash-off.
Walmart is 5 mi away (just off the highway) and we noticed a laundromat on our way to the campground. A half hour drive takes you to Tupelo, where you can tour the birthplace of Elvis Presley. Queen's Reward Meadery was a nice stop while we were in Tupelo. Bring your own firewood, as they do not sell it here. Guy's Place on the Water is a nearby restaurant, good for a sandwich and beer. The local community college gets a little loud with cheering and PA system during games so don't expect peace and quiet and tranquility

The water was not accessible as there is a lot of disrepair around the docks and beach. The site was clean and the hook ups were working. The attendant was helpful. Overall the park was nice and we enjoyed our time.

Beautiful little park right on the Tennessee-Tombigbee River. In its day I’m sure it was even better. The park was clean, the hosts friendly, helpful and accommodating but the park is in need of updating and repairs. The trails, which were once lighted and paved are dark and cracked. The long fishing pier is difficult to get to and has warped boards, the Historical Center - a beautiful, very large facility was closed and is starting to look really run down. It is ashamed to have a park at this location in such poor shape.
