What Guests Are Saying
Sioux Bayou Landing RV Resort offers a fun and comfortable atmosphere with enjoyable amenities like a jukebox and pool table, making it a great spot for socializing and celebrating events. However, a negative experience with a bartender, who publicly confronted a customer about tipping, overshadowed the positive aspects of the night for a group of local patrons. Despite the initial welcoming vibe and good service, this incident led the group to decide against returning to the establishment.

The bar itself is comfortable and fun. There’s a jukebox and pool table and a good time. Our friend was attacked verbally by the bartender on July 4th bc she felt she wasn’t being tipped enough. The night was not even over and tabs/tips were not even collected yet. We are local to the area and were having a good time and talking about what a fun place it was and how we would definitely be returning. After the way our friend was treated, we will NOT be returning. So thank you Tammy/hummingbird for ensuring we will not be regular customers.

Her nickname is hummingbird (the bartender) and she called out 1 of our 10 guest for their tip amount and embarrassed her in front of everyone. Our friend bought everyone at that bar drinks and was one of the most friendly ones in the entire establishment all night long and we all witnessed it and the bartender attacked her at the end of the night because she felt the tip wasn't enough and trust me when I say, she got a minimum $75 dollar tip! She claimed she gave us FREE pool all night when all of us paid for every pool game! The establishment would have made a bare minimum had we not brought out entire crew up there on the 4th of July. We were having such a good time up until she tried calling out our 1 individual friend because she felt she didn't tip her sufficient enough and I've honestly haven't seen anything like that before! Hummingbird (the bartender) was great at first and for a first impression absolutely was welcoming but her true, unprofessional person came out at the end of the night and it was UGLY and VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!

We had a GREAT time until the very end. A few of us got there and everyone was watching fireworks which was awesome. Great view from the back dock of the fireworks. Everyone was so welcoming and nice. We had a good time with the juke box and playing pool. Drinks were great prices. The bartender had been serving us and we had been tipping. Then at the end of the night once one of our friends tabbed out the bartender came over to our group calling our friend by name shouting about the tip left on that tab. She was very rude and embarrassed our friend in front of our group and the whole bar. Our friend even bought a round of drinks for the people at the bar she didn't even know. Our group was not even done cashing out at the bar when the bartender came over ranting to our friend. We were still in a game of pool.
Then when we walk outside our group was nice to help an older gentleman that needed help in the parking lot.
Unfortunately, we will not be returning. We had all intentions of coming back.

Cool bar off the beaten path. I go whenever I visit family in Gauthier. Nice view . Smoking. Not kid friendly.
