We have been coming to Hwy k campgrounds for over 50yr and this was the first time that we ever had a problem. It was beyond ridiculous what happened to my family. We traveled from 4 different states and some of us drove over 14yrs for this trip we plan there every year and we’re pretty much forced to leave over a tent issue. We had two campsites paid for. And had 15 people and was told we had too many tents. Never had any issues in years passed about our tent count. To come at a family at 6:30 at night after being on the water floating for 7hrs and say either get new tents or move was just awful and ridiculous! I was in tears and still can’t believe this happened to us. After over 50yrs of coming here my family will never return after being treated this way. We were not bothering anyone, or being loud or destroying anything. There wasn’t even any other campers around us. We spent thousands of dollars and spent hours to be where we have loved coming for years and it was completely ruined and destroyed. So devastating for my father who is 65 to have all his children and grandchildren there and for us to be chased off!!! Shame on Hwy K Campgrounds!!!

Enjoyed our 3 night stay at K west campground. It was pretty quiet and enjoyed the days spent on the Black river. The only issue at all was the low water pressure at the campsite. But, we still managed showers. I did notice one day, the maintenence workers had installed 3 or 4 new hydrants at certain sites. Maybe eventually they all will be replaced.

Loop B only has power on some sites and 8 the pedestal was too far to use. K has FHU, no gate host.
No cell, no OTA.
Black River is clear and cool.
