I understand it was a holiday but we did NOT have a good time. There was a campsite about 4 down from us that was blasting their music EXTREMELY LOUD to the point I couldn’t even hear my own music. All the people around me were even getting annoyed. I get during the day it’s just a whatever thing but during the night time?? And it went on all night …. I ended up leaving my site 3 times just to get away from it.
I thought there was someone that checked the sites ? I’m a regular camper here. This was my first experience of that happening …. I didn’t sleep at all so I ended up leaving at 6am …
Besides the loud camper it wasn’t bad. I still loved my campsite. I’ll continue to go.

Campgrounds always clean. Love the location close to the river. But no internet or phone service.

Most beautiful river in the state of Missouri, K Bridge is a popular area, so do expect lots of folks.

My original amosite was flooded a week before my trip. Luckily I was able to get one of the last spots at the part that was still open. It was an electric site. Everything was great! If I had to give any cons it would be the amount of ants all over the ground and there was a few pieces of trash but that’s it. I may start using the electric site instead of primitive from time to time.

The campground is well kept, but the other campers are not. I recommend avoiding weekends to not have to come in contact with the drunken party people and the "who can play their music the loudest?" competition on the beach.

Our favorite campground. Needs some work to revive but still a favorite.

This campground is located in the backhills of Missouri and no restaurants and stores very close. Must see activities is to walk to the Black River from the campground. Also available across the bridge is Jeff's Canoe rental shop to rent Kayaks, canoes and etc. Very clear water and nice to take your lawn chair and sit in the water in the Black River with your feet in water and watch kayaks come down the river. Short walk from the campground. No wood purchases is available at the campground so bring your own wood. Gate Attendant never came by or was available at the little office. No help there. No phone service or internet is available in the area so take your Starlink.
