My experience was very good except for the heat which only GOD has control of. This is one of my favorite campgrounds…Wish it was open all year!

We spent a month and a half camping and staying at old highway 86 brought back so many childhood memories from when I was a kid and stayed there. So glad I got to share it with my son. It is still as beautiful as ever!

This campground lacks upkeep on grass mowing. Campsites themselves are very well maintained-but not the grass!!
Camp host is wonderful.

The site was large and well established with good shade at the picnic table and close lake shoreline. We ended up pitching our tent on the asphalt meant for an RV as the grassy areas were more sloping than flat. Shower house was clean, no soap though. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for water access and a quiet campground.

We spent 10 days at the campground and it was a great stay. We really appreciated Dewey and his wife taking care of the sites. They were very clean and they came around and checked on things everyday. The bathrooms were clean and sanitized each day along with the shower house We always enjoy coming to Old Hwy 86 and will continue to do so each year
