We love Indian Point! However, the campsites are a real mixture. Some would be very difficult with a tent. Some have a number of steps to the picnic table, some are shady and some sunny.

We camped at group site G01. We loved that it was so secluded and quite, however only one of the electrical boxes is close enough to the center of the site. We ended up putting up our camper in the parking lot near one of the other boxes and felt a little far from our group.

It’s a good park and easy to get to. My only real complaint is, they don’t spray for ticks. We have a pet and ticks were a problem. We had to check ourselves for them and found some.

We rented the pavilion. There is definitely not enough parking at the pavilion. It was a holiday weekend and there wasn’t enough parking anywhere for our attendees. You can’t see the water from the pavilion. Restrooms are also nowhere in sight from the pavilion.

Linda & Ron the cleaners are excellent. Trees need to be trimmed, lots of dead limbs, might damage campers. The doors to the bathroom in the back section stick, difficult to close.

Site 73 is NOT for tents. There is no flat grass area to set up a tent. We showed up Friday night of Labor Day weekend for a 3 night camping trip. Packed up and went home Saturday. Told the folks cleaning the
bathrooms (thought they were the camp hosts) that we were heading out and they said that is NOT the first time they've been told the ground is too sloped for tents.

Office hours are between the hours of 8:00 a.m-10:00a.m. and from 2:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m, seven days a week. Camphost and or Rangers will issue campground hangtags after valid check-in. Please check-out on departure. If Camphost is not present, please drop pink tag off at the dropbox. |

ALL personal equipment (boats, trailers, personal supplies etc. ) must be stored at reserved campsites. No equipment shall be stored in boat ramp/day-use parking for overnight storage. |

All discounted passes (Golden Age, Senior Lifetime, Senior Annual, Access) must be physically present upon arrival. Fraudulant use of a Golden Age or Golden Access Passport (Printouts, photos ect.) is prohibited and will not be discounted. |
