Great campground, only thing I didn't like was the one section we were in the is a bit crowded and laid out a bit odd. The other 3 areas are spaced out better and laid out better. But even with that it was not bad enough to stop me from going. Just try to get my reservations in earlier. It is beautiful, lots of good places to walk or hike, fishing, swimming area is nice. Host are great. It is pretty quiet even with the road so close. Very little traffic in the evening. Bathrooms and grounds are well cared for a clean. We will probably be back often,

Be aware that as of October 2023 a major portion of the Indian Point campground sites are out of commission as part of a construction/upgrade project. Pay special attention to the vehicle length limitations, especially for the electric-only sites. We rented four sites for a family Fall Break getaway with four RV trailers. Several of the sites barely accommodated a 25 foot trailer and the truck used to pull it. The public toilet/shower facilities were acceptable, with adequate hot water, but with only four rooms, a person wanting to use them often had to wait. While the dump station had the capability to dump waste water from either side, it realistically can handle only one vehicle at a time, which meant there was a backup on Sunday afternoon when a number of people were leaving.

We were in spot 57, which is beside the swimming beach. The spot was fairly level, and had a lower platform with a table and fire ring to hang out at. I was concerned about how close it was to the road, but it wasn't an issue.

Narrow road with no shoulder to this campground. Concrete and gravel beach. Some campsites difficult to back in because of hilly terrain, trees, lack of space. Noisy campers on weekends. Restrooms could have been cleaner. We will most likely not return.

My visit was fair... I say fair because, half of the sites was shut down, I believe sites 1 - 29... The sites we were on was sites 30 - 55. These really are not sites for tents at all... these sites should only be listed as rv sites. Most of these sites are on slopes and very rocky ground! We enjoyed the shelter and the restrooms were kept clean. Aside from that we didn't really enjoy much else!

Everything was very great, a good place to go camping, the rangers did their job very well, they were very kind and respectful when they went to check the tags of the cars, very safe place to stay except for the bears at night, nahh just kidding, I will come back for sure.
