Absolutely gorgeous - private, serene, perfect. We drove in around 630 pm, parked at one of about 14 campsites and got directly in the water. Water was clean, and there was sand on a portion of it, so nice on feet. Wildlife so loud at night it was a great soundtrack to sleep to! I cant wait to return.

Loggers Lake is one of those hidden gems that I'm reluctant to let people know about. It will definitely be a first choice for a spring or fall camping trip. The campground is small, but clean and we'll groomed. Every site has a nice view of the small lake. The lake is not suitable for swimming due to grass growing under the surface, but was perfect for kayaking and fishing. Our grandson absolutely loved it there.

Tent campers will love this place, it is quiet with no frills. This is what camping used to be, but now probably is called 'boondocking' or 'primitive'. I've been going here since 1962, recently graduated to a small 21' RV, my friend brings her 29" 5th wheel. A lot has changed, mostly vegetation has been cleared to make the place more park like but it's still not RV park groomed :-). Gasoline powered boats are prohibited on the lake so you will only see canoes, kayaks, an occasional small sailboat, so it's very safe to float on your air mattress and swim. The pit toilets have been improved, but also downsized from wooded 4 stalls to concrete block 2 stalls. Most of the campers are knowledgeable, quiet and respectful of the invisible property lines. The road from town was blacktopped in the mid 60's but now it's all gravel until you get down to the campsites. Each campsites has two paved parking spots for cars and/or RVs. Large RVs will fit nicely in the 'loop' area, smaller under 28' will fit all. There is only one water spigot that works, one spacious outhouse for the 13 sites. There are a couple of hiking trails, one goes around the lake. If you are a avid mountain biker you might be entertained on that one mile trail. There is a swimming beach with no lifeguard, a boat/fishing dock, 2 boat launching sites. The day-use picnicking is right at the swim beach. It is 9 miles via gravel road to Bunker that has a couple of restaurants, minimum groceries, one gas station. If you want more then Salem is another 30 miles and it has everything. Also, there is no cell service unless at the top of the hill. No electric or water at sites and no RV dump in the campground.
