Loggers Lake Campground

Great campground, very clean and quiet. Hopefully they will have potable water back soon.

As usual, my stay was very pleasant and mostly quiet.
I have been going to loggers lake for about 60 years, it is definitely a Jewel.

What I can't understand is why there are obnoxious buoys in front of the spillway that has most of the time have a ½ inch of water running over it. I can't wash down that if I wanted to.

First I thought was the best way I can spend MY money, like the roads, the wooden parking stops, replacing the dock along with cleaning up the swimming area, and maybe the water supply faucets.

Beautiful, remote, peaceful. Ginormous campsites. Nearly all with lake shore. Fishing was good. Great spot for individuals or large families and everything in between. It was my first visit, but I will be going back (with my kayak)!

Great campground on beautiful lake. Very quiet and serene. Clean vault toilets.

There’s no cell reception at Loggers Lake but that’s the way I like it. Unplugged.

Campsite was great, neighbors were not. A couple big family groups sort of took over the whole campground, including the spot we had reserved so we had to take a spot without enough flat ground for both our tents. Their kids constantly walked through our site, they were very loud late into the night, and the adults played music on a speaker all day and well past midnight. But the campsite was well maintained, the lake was beautiful, and on Sunday after the big groups had left it was very peaceful.

Decent more primitive campground. Vault toilets were clean and adequate. Site 12 was nice with good view of the lake. Nice flat area for our ground tent. Only downside was the people in the group camp that were fairly loud and a bit obnoxious both nights past the posted quiet hours.

Beautiful beautiful, even in the storm, lots of fish to catch, quiet as ever, the bathrooms dont even smell like port a potties! Love Loggers Lake!

The locations of sites 5 and 6 on the campground map are wrong; they are reversed.

We booked site 5 online months in advance because it looked like the nicest site on the lake.. When we arrived at the campground, the site labeled "5" was actually an inferior the site next door to the one we booked, and someone else was already in what should have been our site (which is labeled "site 6" by the signs. Either the physical signs at the campground are wrong, or the campground map on recreation.gov has sites 5 and 6 reversed. Either way, an error deprived us of the site we thought we had booked. We ended up moving to a different site that was ok, but not nearly as nice as the one we should have had.

Overall the campground was pretty nice, although not as wooded as we would like. We would recommend it only to those who plan on mostly hanging around there, because it's pretty far from a lot of nice stuff in the area. If you want a base for exploring the area (Ozark Trail, Current River, the Scenic Riverway, etc.), you'd be better off at places like the Round Spring campground. It's not as remote, but you won't have to do nearly as much driving -- and also avoid driving those dirt roads, which gets old fast.
