Big M

My family has been coming here and camping in spot 55 every summer since before I was born! I have made some of the best memories there! I’m 34 and this is a tradition I plan to keep up with my family! This place is a dream and I wish I could stay forever. The best place and the best memories. A little slice of heaven.

I loved my spot that I was in. I love that the sheriff come by at night, checking everything and everyone. The bathroom and shower were always clean, but soap would be nice to have to wash your hands.
The thing I did not like is one the host is not in his little shack when you come in 90% of the time. You might see him drive-by once during the day.
Two I didn’t care for the marina at all. They don’t open till 11 they close at 6:30, and the owner stated those would be the hours after the new marina is built, which in my opinion is opening late and closing too early. the ones before opened earlier and closed later, which was much better because you could go down to the dock and get things at a later time you didn’t have to rush if you forgot something cause some people don’t go down for desserts or ice cream or whatever until like seven or so 730 and a lot of boats came in later in the years prior the restaurant in prior years was much fantastic. We have even drove to the marina in prior times just to eat at the old restaurant. all these people serve is convenient store Pizza and an outrageous price and chicken wings that aren’t wings so we weren’t impressed with that either. And three the store they have now is awful. It doesn’t have hardly anything in it where the store before had several things that you might need when you’re camping. It was very nice. You could go down and get a soda you could go down and get a life jacket you could go down and get several things items and it was spacious.

Had our first trip in our new camper. Definitely glad we picked this spot.

Great experience, campsite itself was great. Only issue is the only bathroom that was close was either the Marina which closes after 8pm and another one close to the entrance. Also never found the showers.

Big M is in our top three favorite campgrounds. The location has easy access. The campsites are spacious and well-maintianed. The bathroom was clean. The marina is right on site and has an easy launch area. This part of Tablerock Lake is beautiful. We tey to book this park several times a season.

While partially my fault, as we arrived late, the markings are terrible. We had spot 60. We missed the turn to go to that section of the campground. The following day we realized we missed it because the is NO guiding you to that section. The markings on the spots are so warn, they could not be read. Even with a flashlight right on the number it was unreadable. Typical, campgrounds are 1 way traffic. The spots here are not uniform and people were going both directions on a very narrow road. They also only have 30 amp service. Fortunately, the camp hosts had an adapter so we could plug in.

Wonderful campsites and great host!

The only Downside was the handle to our water hook up broke off was told it would be called in ,never got fixed while there ,otherwise it was was a very good stay
