What Guests Are Saying

Cooper's Landing Riverside Resort & Marina offers beautiful river views and a pleasant atmosphere for outdoor activities, making it a great stop for bikers and those attending live events. However, some customers have reported issues with staff rudeness, unclear policies regarding outside food, and inadequate facilities, particularly concerning electric sites and food truck availability. While there are positive experiences, particularly with the scenic beauty and friendly staff, potential visitors should be aware of possible service inconsistencies.

I have been going to coopers landing since I was a freshman in collage and I have never had a problem with bringing outside anything. My partner and I(locals who have been coming for years) just went for the live music with a picnic basket of snacks and drinks and were going to buy dinner at the food truck and some very rude elderly gentleman told us we couldn’t have our picnic basket. I’m sorry the price of gas to get here is almost $5 a gallon so we brought some things to save money. We were told we could only get food from the food truck or drinks from their stand. There was NO signage or anything about no outside food anywhere on the event page for this evening. I am upset to say the least. We really needed a nice night out and it was totally ruined. We will likely not be back. Shame.

We bike through here often on our Katy Trail rides. It has beautiful views of the river, it is a great stop to get a drink or snack on a bike ride (it's never been closed on any of our rides), and the staff is great!

We have driven out on weekends for live shows and food trucks, and sometimes we have timed our bike rides to arrive during these events. The weekend events are fun, but if you love the outdoors, then the quiet, peaceful scenery along the river at Cooper's during a weekday afternoon is a hidden gem.

Horrible place to go if biking the Katy trail. We had two families, group of six, biking a 60 mile trip on e-bikes and tent camping. We chose Coopers Landing for 2 reasons; 1. Electric sites, 2. Food truck. Obviously on bikes you can’t carry a lot of food, and we needed to charge our bikes overnight. So we opted for the $60 a night RV sites. Their website said only 2 adults and 2 kids per site so we purchased two sites. After fees we paid around $128. Their Facebook advertised 2 food trucks available until dark. We arrived around 5:40pm. There are no signs, no offices, no staff to be seen except for two women in a storage container selling alcohol. So we stand in the long bar line to be greeted by the rudest woman I’ve ever met who tells us to stand out of the way and wait for someone to come to us. After a few minutes a very nice young man who was clearly working his tail off arrived to walk us to our sites. We arrive and one has an electrical outlet that was being used by the campsite beside it because evidently the two sites share one pole. Well it just so happens that the camper next door is as using both so there was none available. And the young man profusely apologized and said that they have never had that happen. On the the next $60 advertised electric site. This one has no power at all, but there is an outlet roughly 20 feet way, past a boat and designated parking spaces for the owner of dock below and we are offered an extension cord. So we asked to be refunded one electric site. The horribly rude woman said we had to talk to the nice guy, the nice guy said we had to talk to the rude woman, we asked to talk to a manager/owner, we were told they can’t reach them by phone, then we find out that the owner was on site but wouldn’t come talk to us. We were told to send an email to him. We did, and it went unanswered. The icing on the cake was there were not 2 food trucks, there was 1 empty food truck not open and not selling anything. I’ve done a lot of camping. This was by far the worst experience. You do not get what you pay for a they do not care in the least.

Update: We did actually receive a refund 3 days later. I hope that the issue was actually due to future upgrades. So my recommendation is if your biking and depending on your reservation proceed with caution. But I do appreciate that they followed through.

Expect a one mile drive down a dirt road, sometime with room for just one lane. There was a busy food truck with what looks like a restaurant under construction. BoatHenge is barely worth the trip.

This place is a dump! A complete rip off!!! We have a 34’ fifth wheel and would not have been able to get in or turn around. It’s on a gravel river road. Not a clean place to camp. Scary… even! Called them twice and they never return phone calls. They just took our money online. We booked because of good reviews and misleading pictures. We had to leave after driving all the way there and go to Finger Lakes State Park.
