Meramec Valley Campground & RV Park

Stayed Thursday-Sunday. Had no electricity for 4 hours Friday after 24 hours of no issues. Someone came by said electricity would be off for 10 minutes to fix another part, that turned into 4 hours. Finally a non electrical certified maintenance guy that admitted the electrical is a serious issue there and needs electricians not just hires off the street and said needed to move he couldnt get ours back on after turning us off to fix someone else. Had to pack everything up and move away from the other two families we were camping with. Not once was there an apology, not once did the owner stop and offer an apology, nothing. Ask to speak to someone they did not relay that or the owner just avoided the situation. This is our 4th year and 3 out of 4 years have had electrical issues all in different parts of the park. Very sad because we really enjoy the park but when you pay for electricity and dont get it in 100+ degree heat & humidity it tears ya down. A member was on his golf cart as we were having to move and stopped to help with traffic and he was sad to hear this he said he would say something at the board meeting but he didnt expect anything to be done.Pool was nice but should not allow adults to smoke while swimming with kids and flicking the ashes & butts in the water. Beach was nice.

We had a good time. We had some issues. We didn't have a fireplace. So no bonfire 😕. The pole to plug our camper was very close to the camper wouldn't be a big deal except the water is on the electric too and it leaked making a mosquito feeding frenzy. So we couldn't hook up our water. But we just filled our tanks. So an easy fix. Just annoying. Fireworks were great. The duck hunt was great for the lil guys. Poker runs was great, specially with so many yummy shots. 😋 staff was very nice.. oh and we had good playing corn hole. And I actually won a game. They were very tough players. Dogs had plenty room to roam on our site with the invisible fence. 🐕

Camped with a rv. They have all the electrical hookups and water and sewer. Although the sewer connection was up hill from the rv, but a nice campground. Clean bathrooms with showers. 2 great pools, basketball, shuffle board, picnic table, pull thru sites, mini golf, and a pond. Campground was not crowded and it was Memorial day weekend.

Our family has camped here for years and bought a membership. We are impressed with the endless fun events, family friendly activities, and pool time. Our kiddos love the golf-cart parades. There is something for everyone. The 4th of July weekend and fireworks display is far better than some towns. The cost of a yearly membership is less than a family would pay for community festivals, pool passes, and weekend camping rates in a single year. It has been worth every single penny for our family.

Well leaving there gate smashed my camper, told them about it and no care at all. Thanks and one i got out hit the key card again and pulled off it missed my trailer by inches! The gate is set up wrong and with no safeties and a crap peace of wood instead of a real gate with foam just incase your machine decides to hit a vehicle. So no safeties on the gate and terrible design and the maintenance guy told me it used to do it all the time but they adjusted it. Well its not right at all. Needs fixed ASAP
